Comfort backrests are mainly used in your entry level wheelchairs that have sling backrests. Sling backrests offer no support an often lead to further problems and are very uncomfortable.. Comfort backrests can be positioned up, down, in and out and rotated to customers requirements. Comfort backrests can be supplied with quick release brackets which make it easy to remove for when transporting your wheelchair.
When needing more complex backrest positioning, the V-Trak AXXIS Segmented can be used in the complexity and variety of the human body form which frequently requires a wide range of adjustments for both comfort and functional seating.
This segment of backrests are used by active users and users that need more support. ADI offers backrests in aluminium and the very light carbon fiber. Contours of the ADI backrests come in Active, Contoured and Deep contoured. ADI has a large variety of widths and backrest heights to choose from. ADI offer fixed, and quick release mounting brackets. V-Trak offers the Axiss backrest where by you can adjust the contours of the top and the bottom of the backrest to offer support we you need it. Seat depth is adjustable and mounting hardware can be rotated to accommodate specific seating needs. V-trak Axis comes in various sizes and can be supplied with a rigi bar adaptor or quick release brackets.
